The Greg Mortimer offers private balconies, panoramic views, and multiple observation decks a library, a modern lecture lounge for daily briefings and expert talks, a multimedia room, a gym, sauna, spa treatments and 2 Jacuzzis. The captain welcomes and farewells guests with stories, complimentary drinks and appetizers.  

The main dining room offers a daily breakfast buffet and ala carte lunch and dinner. For dinner, enjoy specialty dining at the Tuscan grill, the main dining room or the top deck BBQ for a more casual dining experience. Meet your fellow travelers, and share your day when you have a drink at the Elephant Island Bar.  Tea, coffee and snacks are readily available 24/7.

Tuesday August 17^th Arrive in Oslo:

When we arrive in Oslo, walk to our group’s airport hotel—just five minutes from the International Terminal. We will stop by the Aurora Expeditions hospitality desk to pick up cabin luggage tags and get helpful pre‑embarkation information. The ground team can also guide guests on nearby dining options, where to withdraw cash, and where to find last‑minute essentials at local pharmacies or supermarkets.

Wednesday August 18^th Included Charter Flight to Longyearbyen 

• Enjoy included breakfast  at the hotel

Thursday August 19- Monday 23^rd Spitsbergen Your adventure awaits as our experienced expedition team will adjust each day’s plans based on weather, sea ice, and wildlife opportunities. Ensuring we get the best possible experience, each day is sure to please.  Examples of our excursions.

• Cruise back into Longyearbyen.
• Free time before transferring to the airport for our return charter flight to Oslo.

What is the pricing?

Kayak package for the entire sailing is $630 per person.  We kayak most days, if weather and other conditions allow.

Per person pricing is based on double occupancy, cabins start at $7587 for an Aurora Stateroom Twin.  Balcony Staterooms range from $8342 for a Cat.
